petraeus, questions about libya, question about benghazi and his national security team. you heard john mccain and lindsey graham today come out vehemently against the idea of susan rice becoming secretary of state. there's a whole bunch of questions that this white house would prefer not to be dealing with today. they'd prefer to be talking about the fiscal cliff. i have a feeling they'll be disappointed. >> of course, so far, the story that started with david petraeus is so complex we actually chose to diagram it out last night. there are no new components today but washington will be all riled up with investigations and hearings for the foreseeable future. >> that's right. and there is now talk david petraeus will testify in the next couple of days, either tomorrow or friday, that should loosen, let out some steam. >> chuck todd has to sit down. the president is entering the room. >> good afternoon, everybody. please have a seat. i hear you have some questions for me. but let me just make a few remarks at the top and then i'll open it up. first of all i want to reiterate what i said on frid
